When I read his post this morning concerning an idea of starting a Yo-Yos for Troops program, I first thought "That's genius," and second, "When can I go yo-yo shopping?!"
I figure if that's what someone who's halfway across the world thinks the troops would like (besides a one way ticket home), well then, that's what they should get. Plus, yo-yos are stupid cool. They could probably (in a pinch) even be used in hand-to-hand combat. THWAP! Glow-in-the-Dark Duncan to the forehead.
Just please don't be a _____ and ask if your yo-yo donation is tax-deductable - if so, I might just have to send Albert after you when he returns...

shipping to APO is relatively inexpensive too. you will need to send it with a customs declaration form which you can obtain at the post office. I shipped a 1.4 lb package to a friend overseas today at it cost $5 for priority mail. i hope that helps anyone on the fence about sending packages to our military overseas!
ReplyDeleteTroutrageous.... In as much as the Yo-Yo was originally designed as an offensive weapon by the Chinese, this might well be a very viable cause! Four years ago we had to ship personal body armour to one of the kids we knew over there because they didn't have enough.... Yo-Yos will be a piece of cake!
ReplyDeleteFellows,
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for your support! As KC pointed out, it is pretty inexpensive to mail to an APO, and by golly, YoYos are awful fun to while the time away with!
Thanks again!
Albert
